AOC global TV’s and Monitors appeared on a blockbuster movie from Fox, The Martian. An action/adventure movie about a mission to Mars with Matt Damon as the lead actor.
Leverage the product placement for the Latin American market in order to create a 360 awareness campaign for final consumer.
AOC needed to improve their online presence, we concentrated a high percentage of the campaign efforts on this objective.
Based on the premise of the movie “Every human being has a basic instinct to help each other out“ we developed a 1-month activation for end users to have an experience with AOC products and The Martian campaign. It was executed in 11 countries in Latin America and 4 in the Caribbean.
The campaign’s main focus was its landing site, where users were asked to record/upload a 15-seconds video with a message of hope for the main character that was left in Mars. The platform was linked to Facebook with the purpose of growing the number of fans and organically increasing the promotion’s word of mouth.
The campaign also included traditional media efforts directed to AOC’s target and in-store activations where clients were able to access the platform on site.
10 winners were selected per country to assist to the exclusive premier of The Martian.
We produced materials for the whole activation at the store and movie theater and digital ads. We also designed and programmed the landing page.
Overall, the landing site received 33K visits from 26K unique users and 962 subscribers.
The Facebook fan page gained 900 new fans.
